Abstract

Trend analysis using aeromagnetic data was carried out over parts of the southern Bida basin, Nigeria and the surrounding basement rocks.  Qualitative analysis of the total magnetic intensity map was carried out. Magnetic lineaments were inferred using the Euler deconvolution and analytic signal techniques. Deductions made from the study are; the Romanche fracture zone passed through the study area and the prominent trends of lineaments are the north–south, northeast–southwest and northwest–southeast directions.
